What You Need As A Virtual Assistant

To start as a virtual assistant, you need to have a fast computer series, high-speed Internet access, printer, and other various software that might need in performing possible jobs. A virtual assistant is typically home-based, so it is important to have a dedicated area where you can do your work and communicate with your clients.

A smartphone like Blackberry or iPhone is also important especially if you are on the go but you need to be responsive to your clientele 24/7 as much as possible.
 
Here are some of the important skills you need to enter and start as a virtual assistant:
  • Basic Familiarity with the Internet
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of computers and key computer programs such as word processing and spreadsheets
  • Excellent typing and proofing skills
  • Highly organized and able to meet deadlines
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Data Entry and Transcribing Skills
  • Strategic Web Online Researching
  • Others, you may think that you can use as STRENGTHS
It's emphasizes, that the person should have the basic qualities of what stated below to succeed as a virtual assistant. Some of the things to consider are:
  • Adequate communication in updating progress report;
  • Patience and understanding to what clients required and expected;
  • Overall Business functionality and consistency presence at online site;
  • The ability to know-how to work basic task and sort work based on time expectancy.
